Our Story

The birth of Il Giardino degli Aranci was conceived and brought into this world from the desire of Vincenzo Monteleone. Mr Monteleone, born in Antonimina in 1926 and relocated to Biella, North of Italy in order to follow his family, has always been strongly connected to his land and heritage. With Il Giardino degli Aranci, Mr Monteleone wants to give back to his community, raising awareness on the charming village of Antonimina, harmoniously nestled in the Aspromonte mountains.

Il Giardino degli Aranci resides in an historical building in the town center dating back to the 19th century. The restoration and new design, conceived by the architect Eleonora Battaglia, took years as the location and the surrounding nature were difficult to deal with. Eventually, Il Giardino degli Aranci opened its doors in 2008, welcoming guests from all over the world.

Famous for its olive oil, oranges and cheeses, Antonimina is not only a delightful location full of culture and history, but it also offers delicious traditional plates and Mediterranean specialties locally produced.

Il Giardino degli Aranci is pleased to welcome you, come stay to discover more!
